Alex Parker, Porters Emeritus
Alex first joined the Porters in 2010, playing Laertes in Hamlet. Other roles with the company include Antipholus of Ephesus in Comedy of Errors, Chorus in Oedipus the Tyrant by Sophocles, translated by Jamey Hecht, Tarleton in Deity Clutch by Gus Krieger (Hollywood Fringe remount), Antonio in The Merchant of Venice, Troilus in Troilus and Cressida, Edmund in King Lear, the Dauphin (“I am a hawk!) in Henry V, Cassio in Othello, the Dauphin Charles of France and Clifford in the three parts of Henry VI. Alex joined the producing board of the company in 2011 and was an invaluable force in the Porters development. He directed The Tempest for the company in 2018 (Valley Theatre Award nomination) and co-directed Double Falsehood with Thomas Bigley in 2019 for the Hollywood Fringe Festival. Alex continues to act, direct, and produce in Los Angeles.
