Jesse James Thomas, Resident Artist
Jesse James Thomas began with the porters in 2012 playing the role of Paris in Troilus and Cressida. Since then he has played the title character in Henry VIII, Cloten in Cymbeline, Oswald in King Lear, Burgundy/Macmorris/etc. in Henry V, and Jesse Pinkman in Breaking Bard (earning an Ezra Buzzington Best Male Performance Nomination). With the Porters he has also Assistant Directed Merry Wives of Windsor and Directed The Winters Tale. He has also been fight choreographer and fight captain on numerous shows with this great group of people. He was nominated for an Ovation Award for his fight direction of the Porters’ The Two Noble Kinsmen.
Regional credits include Shakespeare Santa Cruz playing Sebastian in Twelfth Night, two seasons with Kingsman Shakespeare Company with roles including Sebastian in Twelfth Night, Canidius in Antony and Cleopatra, Clown in Othello, and Puck. Six seasons with the Utah Shakespeare Festival with roles in Merchant of Venice, Midsummers, Much Ado, Christmas Carol on the Air, and Speak to me Annie.
LA credits include American Misfits at Theatre @ Boston Court, Zombie Joes, and Gangbusters Theatre. He has a third degree black belt in Taekwondo and he looks forward to many more plays with these talented and fantastic people.
