Dana DeRuyck, Resident Artist

Dana made her Porters’ debut as Mekkhala in the 2010 premiere of Gus Krieger’s Deity Clutch, reprising the role for the 2011 Hollywood Fringe Festival. Since then, she has performed in the Porters’ productions of Romeo and Juliet (Mercutio), Breaking Bard (Marie/Jane/Lydia), The Winter’s Tale (Clown), Henry V (Fluellen u/s), Timon of Athens (Caphis), Sherlock through the Looking-Glass (Josephine Childress), King Lear (Regan), Measure for Measure (Mistress Overdone), The Merry Wives of Windsor (Mistress Ford), Troilus & Cressida (Andromache), Oedipus the Tyrant (Chorus), and The Comedy of Errors (Second Merchant). Dana works with many companies around Los Angeles; she’s a member of Sacred Fools Theatre Company (A Gulag Mouse, Miravel, A Woman of No Importance, Bill & Joan, The Magic Bullet Theory) and a founding member of Broads’ Word Ensemble (Must Be Comfortable With, Fifty Shades of Shrew). She’s also appeared on Nickelodeon’s iCarly and Harry Potter & The Ten Years Later (parody webseries); find her on YouTube performing with comedy groups Mornings & Mondays, Dreamwolf, and Dynamite Kablammo. Remember the Porters, will ya?
